RasGas shipping manager captain Iain Scally said: “RasGas has reached another significant milestone with the 100th loading of the Milaha Ras Laffan. It further underscores RasGas’ ability to meet our customers’ needs across the globe.
This milestone is the result of the outstanding commitment to safety and reliability from everyone involved in the supply chain. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one for their contributions towards this milestone.” Milaha Ras Laffan, built by South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries Company, was delivered to RasGas in April 2004. The Milaha Ras Laffan is owned by Societe Generale and Qatar Shipping Company, a fully owned subsidiary of Milaha (formerly Qatar Navigation) group, with a 60:40 shareholding respectively.
RasGas’ integrated shipping fleet consists of 27 long term chartered LNG vessels. RasGas’ diverse modern fleet consists of fourteen conventional ships, twelve Q-Flex tankers and one Q-Max.
